And a little child shall lead them...

My little guy has had me thinking a lot lately...it feels like with each passing day, he is becoming a little man. He is not even 3 years old yet and still I feel like his toddler days are coming to an end. He is changing. He is growing up. And quite honestly, it is a beautiful thing to see. I feel priviledged to be his momma...every day he surprises me with something new...a new word, a new phrase, a new little achievement. But what most impresses me is his little spirit.. his sweet innocence and his purity of heart. The way he wants to kiss me and his papi the moment we recieve our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, not so much because he wants to kiss us, but because it is our Lord whom we have received, and I can see it in his giddy eyes that is is Jesus whom he wants to greet. This morning at mass, upon kissing me he leaned over and whispered, "Mami, tienes Jesus en tu boca"...and his little eyes twinkled with a sweet joy. Thank you, dear son for reminding me, and thank you dear Lord for my son, Enriquito who every day unveils for me a little more of your unending Love.
