After 4 practices at Little Way Farm, Enriquito was very excited about his first game... Gerardito, ummm... not so much. Not quite sure what exactly scared him off, (maybe because he does not speak much English) but after the second practice he just didn't want anything to do with T-Ball. In the following video of practice, all of the kids are at different stations...you'll see Enriquito fielding a ball, and Gerardito at a "batting" station where he just up and leaves ...
So for now, Gerardito is not playing, though he did dress for the first game!
Speaking of the first game, did I mention we lost that one 20-16?..Yeah, we had fun though, and my favorite comment on the game was from Enriquito to Gerardito when we got home. And I quote, "We lost tonight, but in real life, the Yankees are good!!"

The second game, we actually won 20-19! That one was pretty exciting because we got the third out just seconds before the other team would have scored their 20th run to tie the game! AND, Enriquito hit an inside the park home run!! Unfortunately, we were running late and I forgot my camera!
Another bit of news that's kind of fun, is that the boys' jersey numbers are the same as my brothers' in college. Both of my brothers played baseball in college. Fernando was 4, and Adan was 3. Well, as providence would have it, Enriquito is 4 and Gerardito is 3! The Yankees' colors are the same as my brothers' team, so it's pretty neat for me to see my boys in those uniforms with the same numbers as both of my brothers!
